Account deletion
Version 1.0 · Last updated: August 11, 2026
You can delete your WiseData Finances account at any time, on your own, without contacting support. This page explains where the option is, what happens to your data, and which information we may need to keep.
How to delete your account
The request is made inside the app, in a few steps:
- Open the app and go to Settings → Account;
- In the Danger zone, click Delete my account;
- Read the permanent deletion warning and move to the next step;
- Confirm which businesses will be deleted along with your account, if any;
- Tell us why you are leaving (we use this only to improve the product);
- Confirm with your current password, your 2FA code (if two-factor authentication is enabled) and type the word EXCLUIR.
Deletion is irreversible
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once confirmed, we remove:
- All your transactions, accounts, budgets and goals;
- All stored attachments (receipts, proofs of payment, logos);
- Your full transaction and report history;
- Your Wisebot assistant conversations and data.
Export your data first
Because there is no recovery after confirmation, we strongly recommend exporting or backing up important reports, statements and documents before completing the deletion. No data is returned after the process.
Businesses linked to your account
Your personal account and your businesses live in the same registration, so deletion treats each case differently:
- Businesses where you are the sole owner are deleted along with your account, including all data and attachments. The confirmation screen lists these businesses and how many members will be affected;
- Businesses with another active owner keep existing — you simply lose access to them;
- Businesses where you are only a member are not affected: your access ends and the business data stays with its owner.
Active subscription
If you have an active paid subscription, you must cancel it before deleting your account. In that case the platform takes you to the Subscription page to finish the cancellation — this prevents charges after the account no longer exists.
Retention of metadata and minimum records
After deletion, data is erased within 90 days. Even so, we may keep certain metadata and minimum records for a limited period — such as access logs, essential registration data and financial transaction history — for legitimate purposes:
- Fraud and abuse prevention and protection of the platform's integrity;
- Compliance with legal, tax and regulatory obligations (for example, the record-keeping required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework and the tax documentation of issued e-invoices);
- Protection of WiseData's rights in potential proceedings or disputes.
LGPD compliance
Retention lasts only as long as necessary and complies with Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD). Once the applicable legal periods end, these records are also permanently erased. The deletion request record itself is kept for auditing purposes and to prove that your request was fulfilled.
